A state-of-the-art multimedia centre has been set up inside the former border guard post on Mt Sabotin. Together with the museum, the information point and a host of war artefacts, it’s a central stop along the Walk of Peace from the Alps to the Adriatic. By showing the aftermath of the First World War and the Isonzo Front, the centre points out the futility of war and promotes harmony between nations. The centre also hosts an informative display of the flora and fauna of this area, seeing as Mt Sabotin is one of the most botanically exciting and diverse mountains in Slovenia. There’s also a souvenir shop.
